The Eagle TT-6 aircraft tug is capable of towing a wide range of aircraft, such as the Boeing Business Jets, Gulfstream III, Challengers, among various other aircraft weighing up to 38,555 kg (85,000 lbs) in dry surface conditions. Capabilities may vary depending on weather conditions.
In wet surface conditions, the maximum towing capacity is 34,019 kg (75,000 lbs). In snow weather conditions, the maximum towing capacity is 22,680 kg (50,000 lbs).
This low-profile unit features an ergonomic operator compartment and mirrorless hitch visibility, for enhanced visibility, allowing the operator to handle aircraft in a safe and efficient manner. For extra safety, the TT-6 comes standard with power steering and braking, side and top engine access, low oil/high temp shutdown system and front and rear brakes. The front brakes provide the majority of the stopping power and the rear brakes provide further braking, enhancing safety and efficiency.
It also features a gas, diesel or LPG engine, all compliant with the EPA emission standards. The gas or LPG 2.7L engine has a rated output of 80 HP (60 kW) at 2800 rpm with a torque of 220 Nm (162 foot-pounds), plus a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres (16 gallons). The diesel alternative features a rated output of 68 HP (51 kW) at 2800 rpm with a torque of 252 Nm (186 ft lbs), as well as a fuel tank capacity of 49 litres (13 gallons).
The TT-6 is available as the TT-6/2, which comes standard with dual rear wheels for added stability. In addition to this, the TT-6 can be purchased with an all-wheel power train.
